We are switching from chickens to ducks for our eggs. As a result we have laying chickens for sale. These birds are of various ages, some laying, some just about to start laying. We have Rhode Island Reds, Americaunas, Red and Black sexlinks, Black Australorps, White Leghorns and a few other breeds in small numbers. All the birds have been free ranged, pastured and well cared for. These birds would work well for those who want to take advantage of the new Knox, Loudoin and Blount regulations that allow a few hens per household within city limits. It takes at least 7 months of feedng and care to get them to laying age. $12 each. |
